The Museum features displays, written material, and artifacts about the mine and other natural and social history of the area. The Salt Mine Museum is located halfway between the Moon Jelly Beach House and Blue Sea House. Open June 15 - September 15, the hours of operation are from Monday to Saturday 10am-5pm and on Sunday from 12 noon -6pm. For more information call 1-902-257-2407.

Wallace Museum

Just a short drive from Malagash is the picturesque village of Wallace. The diverse cultural heritage of Wallace is well displayed and documented at the museum's newly expanded facility and throughout the beautifully kept acreage. For the outdoor enthusiast, there are approximately four kilometers of walking trails surrounded by beautiful historical gardens. Both the trails and gardens are open to the public. The museum also hosts garden teas periodically through the summer.

Wentworth Valley

In Autumn, there is no better place to experience the fall colors than here in Northern Nova Scotia. The beautiful Wentworth Valley is a twenty five minute drive from the vacation properties and is the ideal place to enjoy the rich, autumn foliage. In the winter, Wentworth is also the place for downhill skiing. The ski hill is 815 vertical feet high with 20 alpine trails, a ½ Pipe, Terrain Park and a variety of trails that will challenge any skier from beginner to expert.

The Tatamagouche Creamery is home to a Saturday morning market as well as community festivals. A short drive further down the Sunrise Trail is the historic Balmoral Grist Mill and the Sutherland Steam Mill.
